In the summer of 2014, I had the honor and privilege of visiting the Freedom Tower, 9/11 Memorial, and recently-opened 9/11 Memorial Museum at “ground zero”.

Moving beyond words, I highly recommend this experience to everyone… of all faiths and nationalities.

This photo essay is an effort to share that experience as best I can. The Memorial to so many victims and heroes from so many walks of life is beyond gut-wrenching and heartbreaking… and the Memorial Museum preserves so many painful memories that lament the worst, but also celebrates the best in humanity. That said, I will allow the photographs to speak for themselves… and send them with a prayer for the wisdom and courage to transform these painful memories into peace-making in my daily life.
