Visions of Iceland

Welcome to Iceland, a magical volcanic island in the frigid North Atlantic that is literally torn (geologically) between Europe and North America…

Two particular bits of interest:

  1. The place called Geysir is the namesake of geysers everywhere.
  2. Did you know that Iceland hosted the epic world chess championship between the extremely controversial American Bobby Fischer and Russian Champion Boris Spassky in 1972 in midst of the cold war? And did you know that Bobby Fischer has since passed away and is buried in a humble church cemetery just East of Reykjavik?

So, let’s score some Icelandic Kroner (this place ain’t cheap) and prepare to for big nature and a few delicious surprises before capping off our visit at the Blue Lagoon hot spring! Let’s go!
